Now that looked pretty damn good. I'll admit that even tho I thought the story and twist in the first game was fantastic, (now one of my favorite super hero stories) the game play was hit or miss for me and the world just seemed lacking.
This, however, this looks like it'll keep me very entertained. From presentation to game play. I'm so so on the change of personality to Cole, but meh, no big issue.
Zune HD is actually quite nice. Plus I do like the sub model they have with the marketplace. Its browser is decent, but the ipod trounces it easily with apps and such. Its a shame tho cause the tegra chipset it sports is very smooth. Wish they'd open it up to all those XNA users out there. Tho those users have still managed to do some decent stuff with what they do have access too. MS really needs to realize what they have here...
and this is towards all digital distribution from Steam to Xbox Live to PSN, you'd think they are making a decent saving on not having to package all these into a physical form (disk, case, manual etc) which some of the cost is regained from the sale...why then are the prices equal to those on the shelves...?
are all the savings from the whole packaging process put into the servers instead and breaks about even or something? I suppose a discount incentive would pull peopl...
I may just remember the first one a little different, as its been a while.
With all these people disagreeing with me, you'd think one would contend what I'm saying with at least a few words. I'm not saying I speak factually. Just my view on it.
I will say it did seem a bit more fun in co-op. After you give it a go let me hear your view on it.
I really liked the first one...this one...I am stuck. At some points its fun...but then at other points its just plain lacking. The controls, physics, visuals all seem hit and miss. Half the time it feels like you have no control of what you're doing. When you finally gain control its pretty decent...
Same thing that would happen is a PS3 were to shutdown during an update I assume...
Not like a system update is a console pushing action thats gonna really heat up the thing anyways. Hell I played several games, listened to music and watched movies on it for a good solid day without ever giving it much of a break and didn't experience any issue whatsoever.
With my sound system I never really heard the thing unless I was watching a low noise movie on it or something. I suppose if you were to play a game on low volume and sat next to yer console it could get bothersome, but Ive a feeling those conditions aren't typical. But now for those rare times where you have to sit in a small box to play yer games those ppl no longer have to fear any such noise what so ever. Heh.
My only disappointment tho is no inclusion of component ca...
honestly the new power supply is small. if they were to have built it in, itd bring the size to about the same as the original 360.
its a tad wider than a soda can and a lil more than 2 soda cans high...thoose pics are awkward angles but this thing is much smaller than the original 360...slimmer only a bit. The size and weight is easily noticeable when you have it.
I been on a 360 without hdmi and only a 20gb hard drive for a few years now. so trading that old clunker in for this one was an easy deal.
Another thing tho note...it is SOOOOQUIET! Seriously i had to lay my head an inch above ...
I like the UI stuff, my girlfriend likes the games & I'm sure the daycare I work at will have a grand time with this (bonus- I dont have to risk putting any hardware in their hands). For the casual day to day me thats all a pretty solid plus.
However, the hardcore game side of me will probably have more game time with Move. Tho you never know, maybe they'll spring a few intuitive core games on us. As is tho, I'm content. The current price-tag going around tho is a bit...
@IRerouk
I dunno I tried looking for something like waht yer saying...maybe we're watching different games...

I think they showed enough to get them through one more year or so, but I'm guessing a new console is making its way out next year. Simply not enough to push it for several more years. As much as I have been on the xbox side of things, I'm slowly finding myself more and more with a PS3 controller in my hands.
thumbdrive, data transfer cable, all the stuff is save to your live account, just recover it on the new system and access your download history to re download stuff again. obviously if you have a lot fo stuff this may take a while, buuuut will svae you $20 on the buying the transfer cable fomr ms.
considering I paid $40 for mine off ebay, that deal works for me, but to pass up on a little extra profit would certainly be foolish of me. Will prob depend on hwo quickly I wanna sell the thing.
I'm aware of that but at the conference they showed it as an upcoming game from Lucasarts, they didnt demo it or anything...honestly still looked lame. Seemd almost like a rail based type thing.
I'm not saying that the whole Kinect conference wasn't somewhat a joke, but it should be noted that the stuff shown at cirque de whatever the hell it is, was merely an entertainment piece of sorts. A bit much I say, but it is what it is and its MS's poorly spent mone...
Um wasnt that just a show meant mainly for entertainment reasons? The conference stuff, yeah questionable with legit reasons, but why are people calling into question a show that was obviously staged and pre-recorded on purpose? It was after all called the "Project Natal Experience as IMAGINED by cirque de solei" not DEMONSTRATED by them. Hell was there even a Kinect cam presnet anywhere around there?
hell just download your stuff again. its saved to yer account neways. Or use a usb flash drive. If you have games installed that process is quick to do. No sense in spending the extra $20. thats just a waste.
quick edit- i wouldve hoped ms would bundle this in but meh.
kinect/360 bundles. Im in need of a new console if im to wait out the remaining years til the next gen hits. Kinect itself wasn't as bad looking as I thought. My girlfriend likes it and she has her own hardware so no worry bout her hogging mine :P
Pretty much the way of N4G tho its improving in some ways. I once spoke against Halo 3 and Killzone 2 in a single post and lost some bubbles and got slammed with disagrees with no replies. Meh best to just roll with it. Those who enjoy gaming in all its forms are reading these also, let the kids squabble.
Anyways at the moment I like the potential thats evident in both. Smart minds will get behind each device and probably even surprise Sony and MS with how they are using the...
Well I know there's Macys over at Mall of America here in MN...if they want a Macy's with a big crowd passing through it then thats the place. My girlfriend will be in town...gives me an excuse to 1) be in that place & 2) try it out. Heh. I'm still not sold. I like the UI stuff but the games are still very ... very much why I no longer have a Wii.
